Graduation, Thesis Defense, and Farewells in the Daley Lab

Trainees in the Daley lab are of many different possible stripes. Most are postdoctoral fellows or graduate students in one of the various Harvard Ph.D. programs. We have also been pleased to host medical fellows seeking an advanced research experience to augment their clinical training. Others still may be undergraduates who may work in the lab for but a short time as a summer intern or in some other capacity. We've been pleased to also host high school students for brief research shadowing experiences from time to time and even the occasional seasoned faculty member on a sabbatical visit. Finally, staff members and technicians may work in the lab for a few years before continuing in their own careers such as to seek advanced degrees. All become friends and colleagues who are missed when the time comes for them to move on to their next post, program, or position.
