Who we are and what we do

Our laboratory is a multinational group headed by George Q. Daley, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at the Harvard Medical School. We are located at the Children's Hospital Boston, Karp Family Research Laboratories and are dedicated to the study of development, disease processes, and improved therapeutics. By building upon a foundation of basic science, our projects involving embryonic stem cells, the development of blood forming or hematopoietic tissue, and the mechanisms by which leukemia becomes resistant to therapy, we work towards fostering a more complete understanding of biology and also the improvement of clinical practice.
